We are looking for engaging and enthusiastic English tutors for our small local business in the Hills District to mentor students in Years 7-12.

**The role and responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one sessions with your students
- Assist students with their school work and activities we provide for them
- Collaborate with parents in relation to their child's unique learning styles and needs
- Update parents with their child's progress
- Always be polite and friendly to the clients
- Maintain a professional relationship with the parents and students

**Preferred requirements**
- Prior tutoring experience preferred but not essential
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willing to attain them)
- Live in or near the Hills District as most of our students are located there
- Access to a car and/or laptop
- A commitment to your students' educational progress
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong grasp of essay, creative and discursive writing
- Confidence in editing and proofreading
- Ability to listen and use feedback constructively

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: Up to $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
