Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to join the team, located throughout SE Melbourne. - 59-year-old male participant. - Carnegie location. - Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) experience required. Significant short-term memory loss as a result. - Ideal support worker should be calm, maintain a consistent approach and use memory aids. - Tasks include: Assisting with/supervision during meal preparation to ensure safety, encouragement and documentation of daily activities and providing reminders to assist with memory, possibility of basic community access (such as walking) to maintain social interactions. - Participant interests: writing, crossword puzzles, visiting the library, drinking tea. - Subject to meet and greet/possibility of a shadow shift provided. We are looking for competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our clients. **Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain)**: - Current First Aid and CPR certificate. - Current National Police Check - Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants
