**About the role**:
Reporting directly to the Site Manager & functionally reporting to the Head of QHSE & Sustainability - Pacific, this position based in Western Sydney Suburbs will lead & conduct activities ensuring the site-level Quality, Health & Safety & Environment (QHSE) Management System for the facility complies with QHSE Legislation & Codes of Practices as well as aligning with Regional & Corporate QHSE Policy.
What you will be doing:
- Site Level Activities
- Meet with Key Managers to complete monthly activities with an action plan created & executed
- Update QHSE notice boards & implemented by the Branch & Site
- Review Branch & Site registers as per activity planner, including emergency information & HSE registers
- Record all Branch & Site meetings & training with minutes scanned to the relevant network drive
- Assist employees in completing Improvement Forms & Incident Reports with the matter investigated thoroughly to enable the best outcome
- Report incidents to external sources within the required timeframe
- Assist Wardens in planning emergency response scenarios
- Record outcomes on the Emergency Response Review Form
- Scenario outcomes are followed up & actioned
- Process the HSE W-S-Y Manual with the Warehouse Manager & other site stakeholders to ensure applicable requirements
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and other site stakeholders to ensure HSE W-S-Y Manual requirements are implemented, complied & reviewed timely
- Conduct company & regulatory QHSE inspections
- Update the company systems regularly
- Lead stakeholders to process & review site-level QHSE Risk Assessments & countermeasures following company procedures
- Coordinate with the Branch Manager & Site Manager to ensure re-training on in-house procedures is carried out as per the activity planner
- Distribute procedures or documents to the Branch & Site
- Upload Acknowledgement or Training forms
- Assist Managers with the induction of on-site new staff, temp employees, extended visitors & contractors.
- Ensure documentation is issued & signed
**Essential**:
- Qualifications in Quality & Health, Safety & Environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but open to a diploma in Work Health & Safety
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in Quality & Health, Safety & Environment
- Significant experience, passion & zeal to acquire new skills in the areas of QHSE Management System (ISO), Regulations & allied matters
- Internal Auditor’s Training / Certificate in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 standards
**Desirable**:
- Proficient interpersonal & communication skills
- Awareness & detailed knowledge of TAPA FSR, HACCP & GDP is an added advantage
- Excellent organisational skills & the ability to prioritize their workload with multitasking
- Eagerness to learn & take on additional training where identified / required
