You will play a key role in implementing initiatives under the Queensland Hydrogen Industry Strategy and other key initiatives.

Here's what we're looking for
- Experience within a complex and sensitive strategic policy and legislative development environment to deliver key portfolio outcomes
- High level of written communication skills to draft and develop briefing notes, submissions and legislative drafting instructions. Liaison, negotiation and coordination skills with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver on organisational commitments.
**As part of this role you will**: - Provide high level and expert advice on complex policy issues and develop policy initiatives that support the development of a Queensland hydrogen and future fuels industry. Conduct and coordinate substantial high-level research, analysis and review of complex and sensitive policy and regulatory issues related to the hydrogen and future fuels industry in Queensland. Prepare and progress complex submissions, briefing notes, legislation, presentations, speeches, publications, reports and correspondence. Manage multiple competing priorities and work either as part of a team, or individually, to deliver workloads on time and which meet organisationalexpectations. Build relationships, liaise, consult and negotiate with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry and other stakeholders to achieve policy outcomes and deliver on Government commitments. Exercise judgment, authority and high-level influence to effectively coordinate the management of divisional requirements and competing team priorities. Mentor, coach and train staff in an environment that recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
