Truck Tyre Technician

**Truck Tyre Fitter - Training Available. Full-Time Earning Up To $40 per hour**

Are you currently engaged in labouring or factory work and looking to acquire a new skill? We have the perfect opportunity for you Join our team and undergo comprehensive training to become an independent truck tyre fitter. Over a three-month period, we will evaluate your attitude, work ethic, reliability, and ability to quickly master the necessary skills.

To be considered for this role, strong references attesting to your attitude and work ethic are essential. Additionally, you must be physically fit and have at least two years of experience in physically demanding or factory-based tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Truck tyre fitting (MR, HR, and Semi Trailer).
- Diagnosing tyre damage, wear, and issues on trucks.
- Organising and prioritising work instructions, completing tasks within required time-frames.
- Maintaining service records and paperwork to a high standard.
- Assisting tradesmen with various tasks when needed.
- Maintaining a safe and organised workshop and work area.

**About You**:

- Physically fit.
- Strong referees who can vouch for your work ethic and reliability for a minimum of two years.
- Keen interest in personal development and learning.
- Ability to document, record, and track servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
- Current driver's license (MR/HR class preferred).
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Truck tyre fitting experience (preferred).
- Commitment to adhering to OH&S/WHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Reliable and honest.

A typical day in this role will involve working on a variety of vehicles, ranging from passenger to heavy transport and OTR. You will be responsible for removing and replacing tyres, changing and rotating tyres for approximately 5 to 10 vehicles per day. Additionally, you will diagnose wheel balance problems, select appropriate tyres, tubes, and rims, and balance wheels.

Work hours are weekdays from 07h00 to 16h00, with Saturday shifts from 07h00 to 13h00. There is also a rotating call-out roster with corresponding call-out rates and overtime.
