Redcliffe Special School continues its strong commitment to providing quality educational experiences for all our students in a caring and supportive environment. We are very proud of the 'RSS way' featuring our school focus on respect, safety and success.
Our school motto 'Time to learn' captures our commitment to maximising learning opportunities for each and every student. Our large team of highly committed and skilled teachers and teacher aides work tirelessly to meet individual student learning needs.
**What our school offers**:
Senior students can achieve Certificate One level competency in one of 3 VET courses:
- Agri-foods
- Hospitality
- Access to Vocational Pathways
- All senior students graduate with a Queensland Certificate of Individual Education.
- Students in Years 7 - 10 utilise the Australian Curriculum.
- Students in Years 11 and 12 utilise the Guidelines for the Individual Learning (GIL).
- All teachers and teacher aides are trained in the Team Teach Framework for behaviour support.
- Numerous school based and community based sporting training and practice session e.g. inter-school sport, golf, gymnastics, Zumba and dance.
- The Glee Club - our fantastic performing arts team.
- School gym and assembly hall.
School facilities have undergone significant refurbishment in recent years. This has included new classrooms, new school hall, landscaping and painting of existing buildings. All classrooms are now air conditioned and have wireless connectivity.
The school also has great support from the wider community. We certainly appreciate the cooperation of various businesses and agencies in support of student learning opportunities such as work experience, recreational activities and excursions.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. - In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services. For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please CLICK HERE.
