The Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is currently seeking to appoint a Customer Relations officer to work across our organisation as a primary interface with our Customers. The position will be a primary interface with a range of landholders, customers and stakeholders using a range of communication channels. They will collaborate with staff from all branches of the BCT to triage, respond to and follow up incoming customer enquiries. The position will also promote the BCT experience, receive customer feedback, identify ways to improve customer experience and communicate specific BCT programs. They will work as part of a team to promote biodiversity conservation and understanding of BCT in the general community.

**About You**

You will provide timely, accurate and high-quality customer services to all incoming BCT customer enquiries, consistent with BCT service standards and business requirements. You will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative communications strategies. You will listen and learn from customers and work in ways to build community and stakeholder engagement with BCT programs. You will participate in internal reviews and seek to incorporate customer feedback in business improvement.

We are looking for someone who can proactively provide information on the BCT’s programs and services to existing customers and potential customers. We need you to create a positive relationship in all customer interactions, maintaining a professional and friendly manner and ensuring customer satisfaction is a priority.

**Essential Requirements**
- A minimum of 2-3 years customer service/administrative experience in a corporate/commercial environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation and customer service skills and high attention to detail and data quality.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with difficult customer service situations including complaints.

The Trust’s roles are to support and encourage landholders to enter into agreements to conserve and protect biodiversity on private land, guided by the government’s Biodiversity Conservation Investment Strategy; secure biodiversity offsets when developers choose to pay into the Biodiversity Conservation Fund; and other activities that promote greater awareness of, appreciation and understanding of, biodiversity and the importance of conserving it.
