Data Warehouse Test Analyst

**Role Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Implement the test strategy and test plan across all projects/changes.
2. Adhere to testing methods and standards in line with departmental standards.
3. Prepare, maintain, execute, and review test requirements and scripts in collaboration with design, build, and business teams.
4. Provide estimates of testing effort and progress for project management activities.
5. Assign tasks to the test team and ensure timely delivery of test outcomes with quality results.
6. Assist in the production release and review of all test deliverables.
7. Ensure clear documentation and agreement on test environment requirements.
8. Execute test scripts when required and produce metrics to measure testing quality and progress.
10. Escalate risks, issues, and assumptions identified during test planning, design, or execution.
11. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify test requirements and support business processes.
12. Coordinate UAT with multiple business teams.
13. Support Test Manager in leading and developing test estimates, schedules, and impact analysis.
14. Prepare test signoff artifacts prior to production implementation.
15. Work with various testing methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
16. Adhere to the Defect Management strategy to manage defects and organize resources for issue investigation.
17. Contribute to and review testing artifacts, including strategies, plans, risk assessments, and status reports.
18. Develop, document, monitor, and improve testing processes and procedures.
19. Work collaboratively to identify and implement business improvement strategies and change initiatives.
20. Assist the Enterprise Testing and Quality Assurance section and other teams with testing activities.
21. Provide leadership, direction, training, and mentoring to staff involved in test design and execution.
22. Transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored according to policy.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in Data Warehouse testing, including preparation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reporting.
- Strong SQL skills and ETL knowledge.
- Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Thorough understanding of testing practices and processes in agile and waterfall project environments.
- Ability to work independently or under the direction of the Test Manager.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Mandatory: ISTQB Foundation Certificate or equivalent.
- Desirable: SQL, Oracle, or equivalent certification; ISTQB Agile Extension or equivalent certification.
