**About Us**
Jet Refrigeration is a trusted name in supermarket refrigeration services, specialising in repairs, maintenance, and emergency works across the Sydney region. Known for reliability and precision, we’re now seeking a capable Second-in-Command Refrigeration Technician (2IC) to support our Service Manager and mentor our growing field team.

**The Role**
This is a dynamic position combining field work with leadership responsibilities. As 2IC, you’ll be hands-on across multiple sites, delivering repairs and emergency breakdown response, while helping guide technicians, uphold service standards, and drive operational consistency.

You’ll play a pivotal role in job execution, quoting support, and workflow coordination—reporting directly to the Service Manager and acting as a go-to onsite leader.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the Service Manager in daily coordination of the Field Team
- Deliver expert service and repairs on supermarket refrigeration systems
- Mentor junior technicians and promote first-time fix culture
- Assist with emergency response and complex fault diagnostics
- Conduct site inspections and support quotation preparation
- Collaborate with admin and ops teams to streamline job completion
- Represent Jet Refrigeration professionally in client-facing interactions

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in supermarket refrigeration, rack systems & CO₂
- Leadership capability or prior mentoring experience (preferred)
- Strong fault finding and troubleshooting ability
- High standard of communication and professionalism
- Excellent computer literacy and admin skills

You must reside in Sydney and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (_we will not provide sponsorship_)

**Essential Qualifications**
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (UEE32220)
- Individual Contractor or Supervisor Licence
- Construction Training Card / White Card
- Refrigerant Handling Licence
- NSW Driver's Licence

Pay: $55.00 - $68.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
