**HEAVY DIESEL FITTERS - ROMA**

We currently have permanent positions available for Diesel Fitters to join our team in the Roma. Mon-Fri, FIFO and DIDO positions available and a perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland meaning we’re never too far away.
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Diagnostic experience
- Good communication skills
- Experience working on mobile plant and mining equipment
- Highway truck or heavy earthmoving experience a bonus
- Heavy rigid license
- Strong fault finding skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous

**Your duties will include**:

- Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
- General Repairs/maintenance works - Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
- Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
- Working on mobile plant and mining equipment
- Checking vehicle lighting systems
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
