St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12. Currently, the College has approximately 800 Year 7-12 students, with the first Year 12 cohort having recently graduated.

The key components that drive the development of the school are Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith. These components align to the four domains of the College’s Strategic Plan - Catholic Formation and Mission, Learning and Teaching, Leadership, Wellbeing and Partnerships.

The School Administrative Officer provides administrative support to school staff and the school principal. This role will be classified as a level 4.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
- Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience using initiative and self-motivation in the workplace
- Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks
- Intermediate experience and ability to work with various databases, Microsoft office programs and excel
- Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines
- An understanding and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment
- Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category A - Accreditation to Work

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of Anaphylaxis training

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
