Nu-Rock Building Products seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic leader to join the Operations team as a General Manager overseeing Nu-Rock’s Ash recycling/Block plant. Reporting to the CEO, the General Manager is a multi-faceted role responsible for the Block Plant operations overseeing the daily management, operational and financial activities.

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety
- Ensure the plant operates efficiently and meets production goals
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment
- Develop and implement procedures and protocols to maintain quality control
- Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing levels as needed
- Supervise and train plant personnel
- Manage budgets and track expenses
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in block manufacturing or construction materials
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Experience in quality control and process improvement
- Knowledge of safety regulations and policies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP software

In your new role, you will:

- Efficient day-to-day management of the operations in the area, including the preparation of and managing costs within an agreed budget
- Review customer orders for the next day(s) to ensure service levels, plant capability, capacity, raw materials and staffing to achieve the orders and there is no overbooking of work
- Manage all areas of customer accounts including quotations, contracts, credit, delivery service, complaints, special conditions, prices and surcharges
- Develop sales forecasts including short and long term planning
- Lead and develop the team and manage Internal team performance
- Run and manage toolbox meetings
