As the Principal Environmental Officer in the Contaminated Land Team you will:
Research, analyse and develop advice on environmental issues associated with contaminated land.
Liaise, consult, and negotiate with all levels of government, industry and community groups on complex environmental issues.
Provide strategic advice and recommendations to a wide range of customers on complex and sensitive environmental issues related to contaminated land, including providing pre-lodgement advice to applicants for environmental approvals.
Implement legislation and policy relevant to contaminated land.
Review the quality and content of work undertaken by team members, and edit written work when necessary.
Prepare Ministerial briefing notes, informational documents, and correspondence.
Lead or participate in internal and intergovernmental meetings.
Participate in team planning, discussions, and debriefings.
Participate in the development, publishing and implementation of guidelines, processes, and policies related to best practice environmental management.
