Working with adults in their own home and community, some with disabilities and some slowing down with age and medical conditions, a Home Care Worker's aim is to support our clients to achieve their goals and overcome the challenges that life can send our way. We create the connections that allow us to journey with them for as long as they need. Duties will vary on the basis of need but will include assistance with: showering, dressing and grooming; meal preparation; transport to appointments; social outings; shopping; medication assistance, housekeeping and companionship. While tasks are important your biggest role is supporting our clients to maintain relationships, meaning and purpose in their daily lives. Living Your Way pays above award wages, paid travel and time between client visits and develops your roster to suit your needs and circumstances. Whether you're a younger or older worker, have school aged children at home, or are caring for a member of your own family we can find the right fit for you as a Home Care Worker with Living Your Way. To be considered you will need to have: - **As a minimum** a Cert 3 in Aged Care/Disability/Community Service or similar; or being be currently studying to complete same. - First Aid Cert & CPR (or willingness to gain) - **A reliable motor vehicle and valid driver's license.**: - A can-do attitude that always puts the client central to every decision. - The ability to think outside the box and problem solve on the "run". - A real desire to make a difference. In addition to above award wages and conditions we will provide you with: - Ongoing paid remote training opportunities; - Travel reimbursement at $0.92 per km; - Paid travel time at the applicable hourly rate; - Split shift allowance, where applicable; - Induction that includes paid "buddy shifts" with existing team members; - Ongoing management support **Please Note: Before commencing employment, the successful applicants will need to hold, or gain, a current National Police Clearance (Aged Care/Disability) or Disability Worker Screening Check (Qld).** **Job Types**: Part-time, Casual Part-time hours: 20-32 per week **Salary**: $32.05 - $34.60 per hour **Benefits**: - Travel reimbursement Schedule: - Day shift - Flexible hours - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Public holidays - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Penalty rates COVID-19 considerations: All PPE is supplied by Living Your Way and level of requirement determined by prevailing Qld Health advice at any given time.
