**About the Role**:
We currently have an exciting role as a Merchandise Planner - Menswear for Glue Store. This role is focused on data and analytics in the achievement of budgeted sales, gross profit and inventory productivity measures. Reporting to the Head of Planning - Glue Store, this key role brings structure and process to our Buying decisions and directly influences our profitability through Inventory outcomes with data-based decision making.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Planning and development of Merchandise strategies in conjunction with the Buyer
- OTB Management & Budget and Forecast process
- Post Seasonal Review process
- Mentor and coach an Assistant Planner to develop their skills whilst delivering improved inventory outcomes
- Budget development of all KPI’s in line with agreed financial targets
- Lead and manage the forecast review process in collaboration with the buying team to identify opportunities and risks and put plans in place to deliver budget outcomes
- Monthly tracking of KPI’s to compare with budget, forecast and prior year
- Determine, review and maintain optimum stock levels within both DC, Online and stores
- Analyse trends to ensure accurate forecasts to supplier
- Manage and maintain in-stocks of Repeatable lines (Core Lines)
- Manage the consolidation of stock across the business & trading consolidations
- Product analysis to identify sales growth opportunities/risks in the business
- Develop framework to ensure the buy reflects strategic intent and delivery of budget expectations
- Manage all markdown, promotional activity & scenario modelling
- Manage Aged stock within agreed benchmarks
- Monitor sales/performance trends, recommending corrective actions
- Manage the delivery of robust and consistent reporting
- Store and Brand performance reporting and benchmarking
- Undertake ad hoc analysis as required & develop new reports to meet the changing needs of the business
- Ensure integrity of data and tools
- Lead the broader business team to deliver improved financial outcomes
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Store teams

**To succeed in this role, you will need to have**:

- Demonstrated 4+ Years’ experience in Merchandise Planning
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage an OTB & Forecasts
- Ability to understand data and analytics and make recommendations as a result
- Proven ability to drive inventory productivity improvements
- Ability to take a proactive approach and think strategically
- Advanced excel skills with the ability to lead excel based projects
- Proven experience in people management
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
