As a technician, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of the ICT Systems Rebuild Project

Your responsibilities will include:

- Collaborating with the replacement project team and stakeholders to develop a plan for the development and approval of technical documents required for the configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance and support of the new equipment.
- Working closely with stakeholders, Technical Writers, and the equipment vendor to create technical documents that enable the operationalisation of the new equipment.
- Working autonomously and breaking down high-level directions into actionable steps with mínimal supervision.
- Advising and reporting progress to management, identifying necessary actions to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Working closely with training personnel to ensure operational handover documentation is understandable and useful for creating training material.
- Conducting field installation and maintenance activities to verify and refine the equipment installation and maintenance documentation.
- Assuming the role of lead field technician and expert for the installation and maintenance of the new equipment during the pilot roll out phase.
- Serving as a point of expertise and participating in subsequent roll out stages of the new equipment, including mentoring other field technicians.

About You:

- Experienced in maintaining and/or integrating data acquisition systems, including support hardware such as power supplies, batteries, and ancillaries.
- Proficiency in data communications technologies such as RS232/422/485, TCP/IP, cellular, satellite (required)
- Ability to interpret and translate technical information and data into understandable operational handover instructions and technical documents.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to produce technical documents that meet requirements.
- Illustrates prior accomplishments in a comparable position.
- Consistently achieves desired results and objectives.
- Possesses Australian citizenship and qualifies for baseline security clearance.
- Maintains a valid driver's license as travel to multiple locations is an inherent aspect of the role.
