Principal Commercial Officer, Housing Development

THE ROLE
**Are you**:
- Highly experienced in commercial contract management and budgets that support the delivery of highly complex, fast tracked, large-scale social infrastructure developments?- Highly experienced in Government finances and contract processes?- Experienced in construction procurement commercial or administration for a contractor?- Able to provide advice on and work in a team on complex commercial and contractual items?- Capable of working in a dynamic fast tracked, outcome focussed, highly motivated team?
This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing the capital and operating budget for the Housing Development Branch. The position is responsible for consolidating and collating information that provides detailed commercial, budget, financial reports, financial advice and status of our projects via analysis of the full suite of projects across the Housing Development. The position will be operating in a complex and dynamic environment requiring a capacity to exercise judgement and knowledge to effectively evaluate and report commercial, contractual or financial issues.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Have an understanding of commercial contract management, contingences and risks associated with large scale residential social infrastructure construction projects and programs.
2. Have the ability to develop commercial reporting for our construction projects and programs into meaningful and authoritative reports for consideration by the Chief Development Officer.
3. Be able to develop tailored management processes and frameworks (spreadsheets) with adaptability to commercial impact on budgets and track project specific statuses.
