- Must hold, or have the ability to obtain, a current Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP).

The position
The Head of House is responsible for the delivery of exceptional student care to all students in the House group,
and wider Senior School student community including fostering positive relationships with student families.
Additionally, for the curriculum development of student wellbeing programs. All work delivered by the Head of
House has a focus on constantly improving student learning outcomes as a result of a solid pastoral program.

At Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) pastoral care is to be challenging, enriching and supportive of all
abilities. Heads of House are expected to be proactive and innovative about student wellbeing, supportive of the
direction of pastoral care at CGGS, and have the ability to lead a professional team.

Each Head of House is required to:

- lead and manage all elements of the delivery of the pastoral care program, as well as the associated

administration;
- manage relationships with key stakeholders; and
- work collaboratively as part of the middle management team of the Senior School and alongside the

academic management team of the Senior School.

Heads of House are seen as key drivers of the CGGS pastoral strategic direction which is established within the
boundaries of the School’s strategic design, and are responsible for further development of the wellbeing
curriculum, delivery of the program by tutors, and daily management and support of the students in the House.

To commence in 2025, this is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity covering parental leave with the possibility of an
