We are currently seeking a values-driven and dedicated Concierge to play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment that reflects the mission of the Salvation Army. The role will effectively manage the reception area of Auburn Corps with a focus on excellent service delivery and ensuring the Salvation Army’s no wrong door policy is enacted.

This includes welcoming visitors who attend the reception area, monitoring people entering and exiting the building and providing assistance to visitors seeking support including people requiring assistance by referring to appropriate persons or services where necessary.

You will successfully
- Ensure the building is kept secure, according to protocols
- Front desk and building administration
- Make appropriate referrals and network with suitable services based on need, in particular to relevant community services or pastoral assistance
- Acceptance of monetary donations and receipts provided
- Assist with administration tasks as directed
- Receive deliveries

You will have
- Certificate III in Community Services would be highly regarded
- First aid certificate (or willingness to complete)
- Mental Health First Aid (or willingness to complete)
- Predict, Assess and Respond Training completed (or a willingness to complete)
- Understanding and willingness to work in line with the Trauma Informed Care Principles
- Safe food handling course completed
- 1+ year of previous experience in community services or reception
- Ability to use MS Office and moderate level of computer literacy
- Ability to walk up and down fire stairs, in order to assist with building evacuation
- Prepared to undertake supervision/professional support services
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
