Kitchenhand Assistant

If you have a genuine passion for working with older people, and have a professional, positive and "can do" attitude, then we would love to hear from you. **About the Role**: As a casual Kitchen hand/Assistant cook you will have an excellent opportunity to work alongside our in-house Head-Cook to provide nutritious and appealing food to our residents. Deliver and assistance with preparation, cooking and service of our Nursing Home’s changing Menu to meet out residents’ requirements. You also will have the opportunity to mix with our residents in the delivery of meals and service. To be successful in this role you will have: - A passion for cooking and providing an exceptional meal experience - Previous experience in similar roles - Genuine care and respect for the elderly clients we serve - Solid WHS skills as related to the kitchen environment - Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Essentials: - Reliability and flexibility to work for casual shift hours over a 7 day period - Covid-19 and Flu Vaccinations and ongoing boosters are a requirement - National Police Clearance (No more then 2 years old) Qualifications / Experience: - Relevant qualifications in Cooking and or Kitchen Operations (Desirable) - A demonstrated commitment & knowledge of food safety including preparation, hygiene and storage - Experience working in an industrial kitchen - An understanding of creating food and menus to cater for special diets and texture sensory requirements - Knowledge of compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards **About St Louis**: St Louis is a family owned and operated company dedicated to the care of older South Australians since 1946.
