**About Our Client**:
Grains Research & Development Corporation (GRDC) invests in RD&E to create enduring profitability for the Australian grains industry. These investments drive the discovery, development, and delivery of world-class innovation.

The purpose of this role is to support the Head Economist by undertaking economic planning and analysis of investments. In addition to providing sound analyses on current projects and initiatives and industry statistics.
- Undertake analyses on RD&E investment opportunities including adoption and risk analysis to provide Managers with appropriate details for effective decisions to be made on potential RD&E investment decisions.
- Provide investment impact analysis and reporting for investments that are already underway or completed.
- Support initiatives and projects that arise from time to time as agreed with the Head Economist.
- Maintain up to date economic interest papers and data sets etc, on the section's intranet page.
- Other duties as required from time to time.
- Liaise with the Head Economist, Managers and other relevant stakeholders as required.
- Undertake analytical and administrative tasks as required by the Head Economist.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Strong analytical skills and the capacity to think strategically, including the ability to provide sound economic analyses.
- Highly developed presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once and re-prioritise as required.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, or Science with business credentials. Agricultural qualifications or experience is desirable.
- Must be prepared to travel as and when required.
- Must have a valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical and Police checks.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
