**Your next career opportunity**

As an Early Childhood Educator (Diploma) at the University of Melbourne, you'll have the opportunity to provide high-quality education and care for children aged 6 months to five years. You'll work in a collaborative environment, implementing innovative programs that align with national quality standards and curriculum frameworks. **Your responsibilities will include**:

- Implement High-Quality Programs: Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that respond to children's individual strengths and interests.
- Foster Child Development: Create engaging learning environments and activities that promote children's wellbeing, relationships, and learning through play.
- Maintain Professional Documentation: Record observations, assess learning, and maintain children's records in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with team members, families, and the community to build positive relationships and ensure the best outcomes for children.

**You may be a great fit if**:
You are a passionate and qualified early childhood educator with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, committed to providing high-quality care and education while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

**You may also**:

- Hold an approved early childhood educator Diploma qualification as recognised by ACECQA.
- Possess a current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012).
- Have completed Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and Food Safety training.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, including National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Frameworks.
- Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Be willing to be appointed as a Person in Day to Day Charge when required.

**Your new team -**Student**And**Scholarly Services**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

Early Childhood Education Services is located within Student and Scholarly Services at The University of Melbourne, comprising the Early Learning Centre, Abbotsford (90 places daily), Queensberry Children’s Centre (96 places daily ) and Swanston Street Children’s Centres (41 places daily). These centres provide early childhood education for approximately 350 children aged 6 months to five years from the University and the surrounding community. The centres operate for a minimum of 48 weeks per year and are open for 10 hours per day. The early childhood education staff team is comprised of approximately 60 staff working either full-time or part-time across the three centres.
