Wayside Chapel has provided unconditional love, care and support for people on and around the streets of Kings Cross since 1964.

Wayside Chapel are looking for casual Retail Assistants to join our Op Shop(s) located in Potts Point and/or Kings Cross

These are some of Sydney’s most popular second-hand clothes destinations, with a curated range of eclectic, fashion leading, quality bargains. The Op Shops are also a social enterprise that function as a key component of Wayside’s youth employment pathway program, Wingspan.

**About you**

You are an adaptable and innovative team member, with excellent communication and customer service skills. As one of our Retail Assistants you will bring to Wayside Op Shops an interest in fashion and have a great eye for detail. If you are looking for on-going shift work in a fun, supportive and diverse retail environment then we want to hear from you

**You will have**
- A knowledge of working in a customer facing environment, such as retail or hospitality
- Understanding of store operations and maintenance, including daily reconciliation and cash handling
- An eye for fashion and detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with diverse types of people, and be openly non-judgmental, considerate, respectful, and kind

You will need to be available to work at least 14 hours per week and have some availability across all the hours our shops are open, including weekends.
