Medical Matters are looking to recruit an experienced medical receptionist to provide additional casual cover (including weekend work) to our existing team.

We are a mixed billing practice and we opened our doors in the Murrumba Downs shopping centre in January 2017. We have over 10,000 active patients on our books serviced by five doctors and two nurses

This is a casual, on-call roll only to begin with but as the practice grows other opportunities may arise.

Competitive hourly rate offered depending on experience levels.

**MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet and register patients
- Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- Document patient information in a clinically effective manner that conforms to legal requirements and practice policy including billing information
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
- Transfer calls as required
- Schedule patient appointments
- Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals
- Liaise with WorkCover to ensure patient claims / billings are processed.
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Maintain stock of forms and office supplies
- Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality
- Manage recall and reminder systems
