We are seeking reliable and compassionate staff members to support both hospitality and environmental services within a mental health facility. This role is integral to ensuring patients, visitors, and staff experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, as well as a high standard of food service during breakfast hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Food Service & Buffet Support
- Assist in the preparation, setup, and presentation of the daily breakfast buffet.
- Handle food safely in line with hygiene and dietary requirements.
- Replenish food and beverages during service hours.
- Clear and clean buffet areas after service.
- Cleaning & Hygiene Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas, ensuring infection-control standards are met.
- Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Safely handle cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Dispose of waste appropriately.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work respectfully within a mental health care environment, showing consideration for patient well-being and privacy.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to maintain smooth daily operations.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Essential Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, cleaning, or healthcare support (preferred but not essential, training provided).
- Understanding of safe food handling and infection control procedures.
- Ability to work early morning shifts and follow structured routines.
- Respectful, compassionate, and professional approach within a mental health care setting.
- Physically fit to perform cleaning and manual tasks.

Shifts

Engaging three staff. 6am to 1pm. 2 to three days per week. Each staff member will work a weekend once every three weeks. An example of the shift structure is below.

Week 1:

- Staff 1: works Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Staff 2: works Tuesday, Wednesday
- Staff 3: works Thursday, Friday
- Week 2:

- Staff 2: works Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Staff 3: works Tuesday, Wednesday
- Staff 1: works Thursday, Friday
- Week 3:

- Staff 3: works Saturday, Sunday, Monday
- Staff 1: works Tuesday, Wednesday
- Staff 2: works Thursday, Friday

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.31 - $71.09 per hour

Expected hours: 13 - 19.5 per week
