**_About the opportunity_**

IFYS has a number of newly created opportunities for Immediate Housing Response Worker's to join our Accommodation Services Team.

The Immediate Housing Response Worker (IHR) assists adults and families on the Sunshine Coast who are at imminent risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness.

With direction from the Coordinator, this role will provide an immediate housing response, using a person-centred and solutions focused framework.

**_ What's on offer?_**
- 1 x fixed term full-time role
- 1 x fixed term part-time role, 45.6 hours per fortnight
- 1 x fixed term part-time role, 53.2 hours per fortnight
- Contracts until 30th June 2025 with possibility of extension
- Salary base $73,700 per annum pro rata + superannuation (part-time hourly equivalent $37.35)
- Hours of operation - 08:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday

**_ Key accountabilities:_**
- Support individuals and families to achieve their housing related goals by accessing specialist supports and services
- Respond in a timely manner to enquiries providing initial response and assessment, inclusive of needs, risks and vulnerabilities
- Utilise a person-centred, solutions focused and trauma-informed practice
- Develop and implement case management plans with residents to reach their self-identified goals
- Assist individuals to comply with the terms of their residence, take compliance action as necessary
- Provide emotional, social and welfare support in a culturally safe and therapeutic manner seeking practice advice from the Coordinator
- Complete administrative tasks, including: maintaining service user records, referral information, and the provision of accurate and timely information
- Work in a mobile capacity to meet with community members and stakeholders to maintain referral pathways for service users

**_ To be successful in this role you will possess_**
- Demonstrated professional experience working with homelessness or crisis accommodation services
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage crisis situations in a therapeutic manner
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills within a multi-disciplinary setting
- A Certificate IV or higher qualification in a relevant area of study is highly regarded
- Availability across business hours

**_ Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:_**
- Valid Queensland open driver's license with no restrictions, and own reliable transport
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)
