Mechanical Fitter

Diplomatik is seeking skilled Fitters to join one of our leading Ship Building clients in their workshop in garden Island. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent Mechanical skills to repair and maintain plants and equipment. The successful applicant will be required to utilize a range of trade skills.

**Duties**:

- Carry out repairs and diagnostics works on Diesel engines
- Ability to process reports and paperwork
- Completion of customer work to high standards and within established timeframes
- Provide product technical support internally and externally

**Requirements**:

- A minimum mechanical trade qualification and a current driver’s license
- Expertise in a relevant and related industry to ensure you meet our customer's technical and commercial needs
- Ability to troubleshoot Mechanical faults
- Be comfortable using a computer including systems for reporting requirements
- Previous Marine background an advantage but not required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 4 years (preferred)
- Marine: 1 year (preferred)

- Australia (preferred)
