Sydney, Australia Pymble Ladies College Full time

Pymble’s_ purpose is to provide our girls with an exceptional education; we are developing women who will go on to change the world, it’s an exciting mission. Learning lies at the very heart of this: one of our four strategic pillars is Academic Intelligence.

We are the biggest girls’ school in the Southern Hemisphere with 2,361 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 including 125 boarders. We are proud of the opportunities our size affords our students and talented staff. Our beautiful home campus is in Pymble, on Sydney’s North Shore and our second campus, Vision Valley, offers adventurous outdoor education and experiential learning, along with a 4-week residential program for all students in Year 9.

Recent years have seen us have a timely focus on building wellbeing and resilience, including the launch of Vision Valley. Next year, our priority turns to revisiting the academic foundations of Pymble and establishing the learning framework that will take Pymble through the next 5 to 10 years. Our new Deputy Principal, Academic will be instrumental in enabling us to realise this aspiration. They will also contribute to helping us shape our ambitious major projects and capital works program that will enhance our already impressive learning facilities.

Our students already achieve excellent academic outcomes in the NSW Higher School Certificate and in The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). We are open to exploring other curriculum approaches, particularly the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge Pathways, that could complement our global outlook. We value academic rigour and providing each girl with the opportunity to fulfil her academic potential. Looking to the girls’ futures, we have established a world-class approach to STEM, are forging connections with business and industry, and are supporting diverse pathways to further study and careers.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about learning, has deep curriculum expertise, and experience in successfully embedding learning frameworks in high performing environments, working collaboratively with colleagues. They will seek to extend themselves and their team, embracing our culture which is fast paced, dynamic and result focused, while being deeply caring, respectful and supportive of our people. We actively work toward ensuring we are a diverse and inclusive community. Please note that you are wholly responsible for fact checking in respect of the information provided by schools.
