**As a Radio Trainee, you'll be hands-on from the start-installing, maintaining and developing radio equipment that supports emergency response and land management across the state. **Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications**
- Demonstrated practical mechanical aptitude including vehicle maintenance and low voltage circuits and electronic systems.
- Demonstrated interest and basic understanding of the theoretical concepts of radio coverage network.
- Basic understanding of radio equipment and network systems.
- Ability to work at heights following DEECA safety procedures and guidelines.
- Awareness of the importance of relevant OH&S regulations, including working at heights, radio frequency radiation plus the OH&S requirements relating to vehicles installations.

**This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is in Colac.**
