**Introduction**:
About the role
The Educator will be part of the Nursery room and provide a high standard of Education and Care to children through the implementation of contemporary Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood Education Programs that reflect the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework.
As a Nursery Room Educator, you will work closely alongside the Director and entire team, to provide for the education and care needs of the children and families accessing this service.
**You will**:
develop strong, positive, responsive relationships with the children, whilst contributing to play-based holistic learning programs meeting each child’s individual needs.
actively develop transparent and caring partnerships with families to work towards developing and achieving shared goals for children.
be a positive role model, active contributor and engaged collaborative leader amongst the team
Ensures that children are adequately supervised at all times in accordance with the supervision map or plan
Ensures that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect children from harm and any hazard likely to cause injury
And other duties and responsibilities as per the position description.
**Essential requirements for the role**:
- Minimum of Diploma level qualification in Education and Care.
- Current First Aid certificate to obtain one prior to commencement.
- Capability and willingness to continue learning and development.
**Additional requirements for the role**:
CRCS employees must hold a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration and have this with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
CRCS employees are required to undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or performing the inherent requirements of their position.
CRCS may require the incumbent to undertake employment screening such as a medical assessment, functional assessment or psychological profile prior to an offer of employment and/or as determined by CRCS during employment.
