**The Position**:
The role of a Quality and Compliance Officer involves offering support and assistance and training in ensuring the efficient monitoring of compliance functions and the implementation of various quality-related initiatives In a NDIS service provision.

- High level ability to utilise information management and computer systems.
- Excellent communicational, organisational, and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities, manage workloads and meet required deadlines.
- NDIS Worker Screening certification.
- Capacity to travel interstate as required.
- A clear understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the context of the position.

**Requirements of the Role**:

- Undertake a range of audits against the accreditation standards related to residential aged care and home care.
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in identifying areas for continuous improvement to support quality and compliance.
- Assist and support the Human Resources in the development and implementation of best practice policy and process.
- Develop and maintain a high-level working knowledge of the electronic clinical support systems.
- Assist and support human resources in developing, conveying, and delivering on individual and organisational plans for continuous improvement.
- Maintain documented evidence of the organisations Quality Management Systems across all sites.
- Risk identification and mitigation.
- Trending and analysis.
- Preparation for external regulator visits including reaccreditation.
- Assistance with Gap Analysis and on-site support.
- Education including Quality related education as required
- Oversight and support of clinical practice/medication practice.
- Attendance at internal and external meetings - as required by the business.
- Attendance at announced/unannounced commission visits as needed.
- Oversight of facilities to ensure compliance that is delivered within the framework of Respect’s policies and procedures, legislative requirements, and meet the relevant service standards.
- **Essential Job Functions**:_
- Assess and evaluate compliance and outcomes of Hand in Hand NSW sites on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensuring sites remain goal orientated and in line with governing body standards of care.
- Working closely with management staff to achieve set outcomes.
- Working with CQC and Ofsted to provide reports and evidence detailing progress and outcomes.
- Analysing data and evidence and summarising into reports for management staff to review and implement new ideas and changes to improve care.
- reviewing and implementing new systems to improve care.
- Provide general administration support and advice to the group on product safety and quality.
- Manage the document control register.
- Contact suppliers for documentation as part of the product approval process.
- Complete monthly reports on performance as required.
- Maintain the audit risk assessment, audit checklists and schedule.

- Must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in Australia.
- Experience in a similar role, knowing all the key functions of a disability service provider.
- Incredible attention to detail.
- Ability to manage your own workload but also be able to work with and lead a team [WH2] team to achieve the best results possible.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
