Disability Support Worker

We are currently seeking several enthusiastic, motivated and responsible Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Management (Operation Team), you will be required to appropriately support participants with opportunities to reach their individual goals through meaningful activities in our Centres**.**
This role would be suited to those with a genuine desire to promote the independence and inclusion in society of people with disability or developmental delay as well as a desire to support individuals to have a voice, choice, and exercise control over their own lives to achieve their individual goals.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Certificate IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, Aged Care (or similar)
- A demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our participants
- Ability to develop positive relationships with our participants and to support their individual care plans as appropriate.
- Experience in supporting clients with various disabilities (psychosocial disability, Intellectual disability, autism) and challenging behaviours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster (you will be required to work on a range of shifts, including morning, afternoon and night shift (sleepover).
- Current Australian (NSW) Driver's Licence
- Valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Valid NDIS Worker Check
- Valid First Aid Certificate & CPR
- National Police Check
- The right to work in Australia (Valid Visa / VEVO)
**Desirable Criteria**:
- 2+ years experience in working with people with disabilities and managing their challenging behaviors.
- prior experience working with diabetic patients.
