**ADD VALUE - THE ROLE**
- Playing an integral role in the Library Programs team, the Early Literacy Programs Officer is primarily responsible for delivering core children’s and youth library services and developing innovative outreach services and library & learning programs to the children and youth of the Singleton Local Government Area. Key aspects of the Eary Literacy Programs Officer role include;
- Planning, implementing and evaluating a range of programmes for children and youth, which meet the specific demographics of the local area.
- Planning and conducting regular early literacy programs, e.g. story time and Babies into Books sessions, and training library staff to participate in rostered delivery.
- Liaise with relevant partners to develop value added programs and community building initiatives.
- Planning, implementing and evaluating a school holiday program with a focus on literature based and cultural activities.

This position is offered on a **permanent, full-time** basis working **35** hours per week.

Remuneration package for this position is based on **Grade 8** of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of **$68,133 - $76,641** per annum plus superannuation.
