Waste Coordinator to lead a team of 20 and make a difference to the environment and community

**Your new company**
We are working with a government organisation who are seeking a permanent Waste Coordinator to make a difference to the community.

**Your new role**
In this varied role you will lead a team of over 20 people with 4 direct reports. Key to your role will be ensuring that waste management services are delivered in a safe and sustainable way and that operational excellence is achieved in both waste recovery as well as waste management. Responsibilities will include resource management, budgeting, compliance, stakeholder engagement and performance development and enhancement ensuring a happy high performing team.

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have sound experience in waste management coupled with proven operational management and leadership ability. You will a passion for circular economy and always be looking how improvements can be made. Excellent customer services skills and the ability to engage with the community is also high regarded. As expected well developed interpersonal skills are essential while a qualification in Waste Management, Environmental Management is desirable but not essential.
