**About St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne Emergency Department**

You will experience an innovative, dynamic tertiary level Emergency Medicine Department with incredible training opportunities.
Based in an inner city location, the Emergency Department provides all tertiary level adult services (except Major Trauma and Obstetrics & Gynaecology).
Positions will be at the St Vincent's Fitzroy campus and across a wide variety of external rotations.
- 50000 patient presentations per year, with a 40% admission rate
- 36 months of ACEM training time accreditation (Major Referral designation)
- ACEM accredited for 12 months of Training Stage 4 for those enrolled in ACEM from 2022
- Excellent Primary and Fellowship Exam success rates
- Internal rotations include ICU and Anaesthetics (St Vincent's)
- ACEM accredited Medical Education Senior Registrar Position (Simulation Medicine - Special Skills Post)
- External ED rotations include Royal Children's (Specialist Children's), Royal Women's (Women's EM Care - Special Skills Post), Royal Victorian Eye and Ear (Ophthalmology & ENT EM - Special Skills Post), Royal Melbourne (Major Referral ED - major trauma), Maroondah (Non-Major Referral ED), Werribee Mercy (Non-Major Referral ED) as well as Cabrini Malvern (Private ED), Warrnambool (Non-Major Referral ED) and Epworth Richmond Hospital (Private ICU)
- Other external rotations to Alice Springs (including ED and Retrieval Medicine) are also supported if applicants are interested
- High level, highly valued teaching program including access to experienced exam teachers and examiners
- St Vincent's Simulation and Education Centre: some of the best simulation in Australia with frequent access; both clinical and OSCE-focused
- Director of Emergency Medicine Research is available to assist with research and research training requirement
