**The Position**
**St John of God Geelong Hospital **cares for our community through our dedicated team of medical specialists and experienced caregivers. - An exciting opportunity exists for two committed individuals to join our contemporary Pastoral Services Department as Pastoral Associate or Practitioner.
- In this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic pastoral ministry to patients and their families, respecting cultural, religious and spiritual differences.
- The two positions offered are on a permanent part time basis, working 60 hours per fortnight or 30 hours per fortnight.

- Demonstrated understanding of the provision of Pastoral care within a Catholic Health care environment.
- Commitment to undertaking tertiary level pastoral studies at Diploma level or completed a tertiary level pastoral studies Diploma/Degree.
- Commitment to undertaking at a minimum of 50 hours of supervised training in pastoral ministry i.e. SJOG Pastoral Supervised immersion experience, Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Successful completion of at a minimum 50 hours of supervised pastoral ministry e.g. Pastoral supervised immersion experience/Clinical pastoral education.
- Demonstrated ability to provide Pastoral support to patients and clients from a variety of faith, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and contribute positively to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Flexibility with working hours including the ability and preparedness to undertake evening/weekend shift/on call duties as required.
