Support Services Best 4U has positions available in a home in Sanctuary Point.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to a participant to enable them to live independently in a home environment and to access the community.

The right applicants will be provided with full training in this role.

There are flexible options for shifts to suit your work/life balance and to meet the participants needs.

You need to be reliable, trustworthy, have good interpersonal skills and flexibility with a genuine belief in upholding the rights of people with a disability with a person-centred approach.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties may include**:

- Assisting with personal care
- Enabling mobility, including moving & handling transfers, hoists, wheelchairs
- Assistance with menu planning, shopping, preparation and assistance with meals
- Assist participants to fulfil activities of daily living
- Domestic assistance, day to day household tasks, bedmaking, washing & drying, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping & mopping, cleaning kitchen, bathroom, toilet and laundry
- Assistance with medication
- Support participants routine
- Reporting & recording as per SSB4U procedures
- Confident in driving larger vans with hoists

**Essential**
- Covid Vaccination with Booster
- NDIS Worker Check
- First Aid certificate.
- Drivers licence
- Comprehensive car insurance

**Preferred**
- Experience with working with people with high care needs or willing to learn
- Experience with manual handling including hoists etc or willing to learn
- Knowledge and commitment to WH&S procedures
