We’re looking for a passionate and experienced **Health & Wellbeing Coordinator** to join our team and deliver impactful health programs at **remote sites in WA**.
- **Employment Type**:Full time
- **Roster**: 4 days on, 3 days off
- **Focus**: Design onsite wellness programs, lead fitness sessions, conduct health assessments, and support injury prevention.
- **Independence**: Thrive in remote settings with a proactive mindset.
- **Salary Range**: $90,000-95,000 AUD exclusive of superannuation
Reporting to Operations Manager - Health & Injury Prevention, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Design and lead onsite health and lifestyle programs
- Conduct assessments
- Tailor fitness and wellness sessions
- Support injury prevention initiatives
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Design and implement comprehensive health and wellness programs tailored to the needs of FIFO and remote workforce teams.
- Incorporate evidence-based training techniques and principles aligned with ASCA Level 1+ standards.
- Utilise advanced performance coaching techniques to create individualised improvement plans.
- Provide detailed assessment reports, including recommendations for physical conditioning and injury prevention.
- Promote a culture of health and wellbeing through proactive communication on-site.
- Utilise advanced performance coaching techniques to create individualised improvement plans.
- Provide detailed assessment reports, including recommendations for physical conditioning and injury prevention.
- Support rehabilitation and Return-to-Work (RTW) processes by designing progressive, job-specific conditioning programs.
- Manage resources and logistics for on-site wellness programs, including equipment, facilities, and scheduling.
- Analyse program outcomes and provide regular reports to site management, including recommendations for improvements or new initiatives.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess environmental conditions and adapt programs to the specific safety challenges of underground mining.
- Maintain ASCA credentials and participate in relevant training to enhance skills and expertise.
- Communicate with external providers and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
**The successful applicant will possess the following attributes**:
- Experience in working in remote environments.
- Experience in freelance work training private clients.
- Prior coaching experience with an emphasis on the individual needs in all career environments.
- Prior experience in corporate sector.
- Prior experience in HIIT workouts, heart rate monitoring and variability, sleep pattern monitoring.
- Supervisory experience of recovery protocol programs.
- Experience in designing condition programs for the group and individual needs.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by FIFO workers.
- Resilience and problem-solving abilities to navigate the dynamic demands of remote site operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse teams.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently in remote settings.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health or fitness program coordination, ideally in remote or FIFO settings.
- Diploma in Fitness, Health Coaching or Occupational Health (or equivalent)
- Exercise Science Degree (or equivalent) will be favourable but not essential
- Remote site experience and or underground experience
- Experience in developing and implementing wellbeing initiatives.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
