**About the role**

We are currently looking for a capable Lawyer/Associate to join the Melbourne Property team, working with Partner Clare Batrouney and the wider property team.

This is a great opportunity to develop your experience and work within a busy and high performing team. The group works with a mix of clients across private and public sector, including state government departments and agencies, local councils, corporates, institutions and developers.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in reviewing, drafting and negotiating property-related agreements including contracts, leases, licences, development agreements.
- Working with the team to provide comprehensive advice to public and private sector clients across a broad range of commercial property transactions.
- Advising land owners in relation to the development of land including advising on development agreements.

**About you**

In order to be successful in this role you will have the following:

- 2-4+ years experience working in a commercial property or real estate team within private practice.
- Strong academics, exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Clear drafting skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver legally sound solutions.
- Proven track record in drafting and reviewing contracts of sale, leases and other property-related agreements.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines.
