Traffic Manager

Employed by a Tier 1 Construction Constructor.
- Working on major Sydney Water critical water main infrastructure projects in the western suburbs of Sydney.
- Multiple office locations in the western suburbs such as Sydney Olympic Park, Prospect Dam Offices, and other satellite office across the west.
- Work as part of a 10-year full cycle program - covering Design, Construction, and Maintenance of water and wastewater assets.

**The Opportunity**

The West Region Delivery Team are working on Sydney Water’s critical infrastructure to deliver; design, construction, maintenance, and facility management services over a ten (10) year period. The program is across water, wastewater and recycled water systems extending from Sydney’s Inner West suburbs out to the Blue Mountains including the Western Sydney Growth Area and part of the Northwest Growth Centre.

Due to new projects and an increased forward workbook, we are seeking an experienced Traffic Manager to be part of the West Region Delivery Team.

Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, you will play a key role in leading the self-perform and subcontracted traffic teams to support the construction delivery teams.

**You will be responsible for;**
- Management and responsibility for our traffic control capability in line with our established processes and high standards.
- Full responsibility for WHS management for our traffic control capability with the support of our inhouse HSEQC teams.
- Responsibility of managing traffic control cost and time in line with the project budgets and timelines.
- Commercial management of our traffic control subcontractors and suppliers with the support of our inhouse contract and procurement teams.
- Fostering good relationship internal and external stakeholders and client representatives.
- Leading and mentoring the traffic control teams.
- Building a fostering a positive work culture.

**What you will need**
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Traffic control qualifications and licences and experience in developing and implementing traffic management plans.
- Traffic control scheduling and design experience preferred.
- General Construction Induction (White Card).
- Drivers Licence.
- First aid qualifications.
- Workforce Planning experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of traffic control regulations.
- Highly motivated with a passion for safety.
