**How will I help?**

The Executive Manager will be providing 2nd line risk oversight and advice on Westpac's Treasury with a focus on technology change programs impacting the department. The role will ensure the appropriate risk identification, documentation, and management of risks by both the Treasury business and programs impacting Treasury. This will be in accordance with the Operational Risk Management Framework and other polices under the Risk Management Framework including the management of Prudential Standards.

The scope of the role has a specific focus **on digital and data risks** arising from product developments and transformation initiatives (particularly the Group's technological transformation strategy). The role will concentrate on risk relating to incremental change deliveries and working with stakeholders to assess impacts, mitigants and changes to the control environment.

**Some of the key accountabilities are**:

- **Partner with the business on safe delivery of its strategy, **providing operational risk insight and oversight to ensure an appropriate level of delivered risk.
- Provide an independent assessment and **challenge over the delivery risks and delivered risks inherent in material business changes** e.g., key strategic change decisions, projects, infrastructure implementation and product and process changes.
- **Contribute insight **to divisional Risk and Compliance forums, regarding risks, controls, remediation actions, emerging risks in relation to digital and data.
- **Lead deep dive reviews over risk themes**, providing specialist knowledge, insightful advice and **challenge on remedial actions**.
- Provide** insightful management information** to the division from internal or external lessons learnt. Insights should influence decisions, optimise risk/reward balance and assist in achievement of business objectives, within risk appetite.

**What do I need?**
- 5+ years of relevant risk experience, preferably in a bank Treasury or related financial services business environment.
- 7+ years of experience working in a large banking environment, preferably in operational risk management.
- Exposure to major technological transformation projects and / or Data frameworks in a large bank, preferably from a risk management perspective
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of bank treasury and financial markets activities, associated processes, risks and controls.
- Demonstrable experience of influencing senior business leadership teams, strategic thinking, and prioritisation.
- Knowledge of Treasury related prudential standards (e.g. APS117, APS210) and/or data risk management would be looked upon favourably.
- Relevant industry qualifications.
