**Your role**:
Every vehicle from 4WDs to tanks and helicopters needs fuel, oil and lubricants in the right quantity, at optimum quality, and in the right place.

As a Fuel Specialist you'll be in charge of managing, distributing and storing fuel products, as well as the refuelling itself. You'll work on military bases, on exercises and on deployments, so the job could take you across Australia and even overseas.

**Your duties include, but aren’t limited to**:

- Assist in the management of a fuel facility
- Refuel aircraft and vehicles
- Operate vehicles including forklifts and fuel trucks
- Assist in the laboratory testing of fuel
- Account for fuel as a supply item
- Fire fighting and chemical handling
- Participate in Marine Transfer Operations

**Location**:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. Fuel Specialists are employed across most Army locations primarily North QLD, QLD, NSW, SA and the NT.

**Salary**:
In the Army you'll get paid a competitive salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $80,549 per annum plus generous super.

For this role, you must be an Australian citizen, 17.5 years-old at the time of enlistment, hold a provisional or full driver’s licence, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
