Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for an Vacation Student with an chemical / process engineering background to join our Intelligent Operations team based in Perth. The position reports directly to the Engineering Manager - Intelligent Operations.

Our Vacation Program is designed for students looking for an early kick-start to their career. The program is available to students studying a degree in engineering and / or a Computer Science or Data Science qualification. A position like this enables you to put what you’ve learned into practice and gain valuable exposure to the workplace so that you may experience first-hand what it's like to work on real projects prior to graduation.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineering student, ideally in their penultimate year working toward securing their qualifications.

Skills / Qualifications:
We are looking for an energetic person who is highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a close knit and supporting team. An individual who is:

- Currently studying for a degree in chemical / process engineering
- Able to demonstrate that you are a strong communicator - you can clearly articulate your ideas, your passion and perspective both in person and in writing
- Willing to actively learn new things - you will be open-minded, a quick learner and a naturally curious person and we are particularly interested in students who are open to developing and building on their technical skills
- Able to contribute as a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment, engaging with others and work independently when appropriate
- Some who values openness, empathy and inclusivity - at Wood we've built a culture where everyone can bring their whole and authentic self to work
