After School Club Teacher

**We have an exciting opportunity for an After School Club Presenter & Assistant to join our forward thinking business.**
Are you fun, energetic and love working with children? 18+ years old.
**Presenters qualifications**: Pre services Teacher, Diploma or Degree in Education or Early Childhood, Certificate IV in Teachers Aide or Equivalent.
**Assistant**:Previous experience volunteering/working with children. PAID WWCC.
**All Must have a current WWC Paid.**
Term 3 contract available.
Working Hours: Both Positions MONDAYS (8 weeks) 2.50pm-4.10pm & FRIDAYS (9 weeks)between 1.50pm - 3.10pm. Starting date estimate 28/07/2025 and 01/08/2025.
**Presenter-**You will have excellent problem solving, communication and English language competency, class room time management and previous experience in managing student classroom behaviours. You will assess the learning content & kits at the start of the term. You will need to prepare (if available) a kit for demonstration before a club starts. You will have a great work ethic and ensure all Duty of Care Procedures are being adhered to by all Stem Tech staff and students. You are in charge of students and running the class. Be clear while instructing students about lesson content and assist the students to projects. You will have an assistant to help tidy up the club room and assist students build the projects. Students will need to be escorted to various pick up points and role must be marked at the start and end of shift.
**Pay rate $60 per session.**There is an **additional bonus** if you complete all the contract and no complaints are received from school. Pay rate will be calculated at end of term to $80 per session and will be included in the final pay run.
**Assistant-**You will be assisting the presenter to run educational, hands on after school clubs. The children will be working with kits that build a variety of exciting items such as torches, air rockets and balloon powered cars; mixing slime or working with circuits.
During the session, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
Ensuring safeguarding policies & duty of care procedures are followed.
Listening and talking to individual children, helping and guiding them through the project
Observing students and bringing any concerns to the Presenter to follow up.
**About you**

**Pay rate: $35.00/session**
Pay cycles are run in 2 sessions. Mid term & End of term only.
**STEM TECH CLUB** runs before and after school clubs for primary school children. We employ presenters from a wide variety of backgrounds. Running STEM TECH clubs allows the presenter to build up their experience with different groups of children in education settings, but have the security of knowing that the sessions are pre-planned and all activities are tried and tested.
**Job Type**: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per day
Schedule:
- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
