Are you looking for a role where you can help people break down barriers to reveal their true abilities and live a life with less restrictions?
If this sounds like you then Everyday Independence is ready to train you to become a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will deliver best-practice, person-centered support to people who use challenging behaviours. In this rewarding role you will build long term relationships with people and their support networks as you help them to create a vision for a life without restrictions and with positive interactions, activities and experiences.
Working with people of all ages and achieving outcomes for greater quality of life and less restriction. You will complete our industry leading PBS training programme and ongoing development programme.
Our PBS Practitioners are part of a contemporary and innovative team who meet regularly to celebrate successes, unpack challenges and to learn. We have also embedded reflection days into our programme because we know that in order to deliver a world class service, learning development and the wellbeing of our practitioners must be prioritised.
**As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will**:
- Ensure all PBS practices and interventions are compliant with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards, NDIS Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support Rules 2018, Services Agreement and Everyday Independence’s Code of Conduct.
- Use research evidence and professional reasoning when recommending the most appropriate PBS therapy strategies, duration, location, and timing.

- Enhance the capacity of people to make their own life choices and increase their independence.
- Approach risk in a positive way to achieve quality of life outcomes, whilst ensuring that safeguards are in place to maximise the rights of people and protect the most vulnerable.
**Your Everyday**
If you were here last week these are some of the things you may have done:
- Written an Interim Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) and had the BSP authorised by your State/Territory. You would have then trained the team on the use of the restrictive practice and fade out strategies.
