**Crucial Training Options (CTO)** is a newly formed RTO delivering nationally recognised qualifications, CTO is a joint venture established in 2021 between Community Resource Unit (CRU) and Staffing Options.

**Job Role**

**CTO's **accredited first aid training program offers broad and thorough learning including convenient online learning of the fundamentals of first aid and CPR knowledge, followed by practical real-life focused workshops delivered by industry experts.

The position will be casual to begin with as the RTO is being established and predicts initially that you will deliver face-to-face practical training sessions approximately three (3) times per month, South Brisbane or Newfarm based, plus some hours allocated to manage students’ online theory, delivered through our Learning Management System, aXcelerate. These hours have the flexibility to be either office or work from home based.

The necessary equipment will be provided; however, you may use your own if preferred.

We are seeking someone who can offer a supportive, safe and fun learning environment teaching people essential first aid skills that might one day save a life. You must be friendly, approachable, good sense of humour & enjoy public speaking/facilitating small and large group training

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Must hold current First Aid units of competency
- **HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation** and
- **HLTAID011 Provide first aid**
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders within the key industries to develop business outcomes.
- Review and continually improve the activities, courses and service delivery, ensuring that it remains current and underpins effective operations, and high levels of quality and service
- Respond to student enquiries promptly and professionally and provide guidance to prospective students through our Learner Management System, aXcelerate.
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Deliver quality adult learning and administer assessment processes with complete and accurate documentation
- Adhere to Crucial Training Options’ vision and governing principles

**Essential Requirements - Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualified Experienced **First Aid Trainer**
- Have at least **2-3 years industry experience** relevant to training and be able to provide currency
- Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - **TAE40116 **or equivalent
- **HLTAID009 **Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- **HLTAID0011 **Provide first aid
- Current **Disability Services Positive Notice Card** or the ability to obtain one
- Current **Blue Card**
- Current **Drivers Licence**
- Experience in the Disability sector would be highly regarded

**In Addition**:
Experience with a sound knowledge of the Australian national training framework would be well regarded but not essential including:

- Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
- National Training Packages
- Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
