Civil Supervisor

**ABOUT US**
The Safety Focused Performance Joint Venture (SFPJV) is a delivery team comprising of Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure (Abergeldie), Downer Group (Downer) and Stantec Australia (Stantec) - together we are delivering the Melbourne Water Capital Works Program, a long term program of works.
Reporting to the Superintendent, your passion for engineering within the Civil Structural will be a valuable addition to this diverse, high performing and dedicated team. We are looking for a technically minded individual, with experience in Heavy Civil, Bridges, Water and Utilities industry projects. This is a long term program of works with a broad variety of projects over the term.
Your primary responsibility of this role is to supervise trades and semi-skilled staff to ensure assigned work (structural and mechanical components) conforms to safety, quality and time requirement of the project.
**Key duties of the role are**:

- Conduct regular safety meetings as required within the project
- Coordinate and allocate work to trades employees, delivery partners and subcontractors in accordance with directions
- Order equipment and material as required
- Monitor the use of materials and care of tools and equipment
- Ensure adherence to safe and best working practices

**To be considered for the role you will require**:

- Trade qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience on site with civil structural.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in use of project controls systems (eg: MS project, document control systems)
- Proficient in the use of MS MS Word, Outlook, Internet
