**JOB SUMMARY**:Structural Steel Fabrication and Installation Company, looking for a Trade Assistant with a HR Licence to join our growing Production Team.

**Company Profile**:
Australian Structural Steel specialises in mild steel fabrication and installation works across the Sydney Metro and surrounding areas. Established in 1995, the Head Office and Workshop location is situated in the Silverwater industrial area (2128). The Company takes pride in quality steel fabrication and delivery to our client’s, ensuring safety is of the highest importance for our Team, continuing to stay true to our safety slogan “Be Aware - Take Care”.

**Role Description and Duties**:
The work day will start at the Silverwater based Workshop at 6am. The role will require you to ensure steelwork is strapped/wrapped correctly, movement and placement of steel using the overhead gantry crane, strapping and tie-downs of steelwork and final inspections before transport. Regular duties will include transportation of steelwork from one location to another, using the Company HR truck fitted with a Hiab Crane arm. Additional operational requirements may include using a grinder and other hand tools to finalise steelwork before transport, assisting the Workshop Supervisor with required yard tasks, as well as on opportunity to learn how to operate steel processing machinery if interested.
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Heavy Ridged (HR) Drivers Licence.
- Confident using basic hand tools / basic electrical tools.
- Experience working with mild steel would be beneficial (but not mandatory).
- Reliable and honest.

**Benefits and Next Steps**:
Permanent position on offer; FairWork approved Enterprise Agreement. Excellent working conditions, including RDO’s, 17.5% leave loading, as well as overtime penalty rates. Remuneration is negotiable and is dependent on experience.
