**Position Summary**:

- Monitors truck access to the depot from guard booth at depot's inbound and outbound gates. Checks in and directs all incoming traffic; inspects and checks out all out-going traffic.

**Daily tasks and responsibilities**:

- Answers Receiving phone and schedules appointments for deliveries. Keys supplier appointment log into the computer and prints.
- Checks deliveries against appointment log. Verifies, prepares, and logs freight bills in computer.
- Checks through each log line entry in computer.
- Verifies freight document sell unit total with sell units keyed as received.
- Communicates with truck drivers, and informs Receiving staff of incoming loads.
- Follows receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards.
- Attends to Inbound & Outbound truck driver's queries with regard to deliveries and pick-ups.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
- Follows proper receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards
- General upkeep of depot and grounds
- Other duties as directed
- Must be able to work in split shift / rotating roster / Saturday's
- Must be versatile and keen to work in both DRY & WET and in different departments as per business needs

**Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery**:

- Computer, printer, phone, calculator, handheld two-way radio.

**Non-Essential functions**:

- Assists in other departments where necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- Education/Training: Higher School Certificate preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Forklift Licence is not essential but an advantage
- Knowledge/Skills: Basic Math Skills
- Other Skills and Abilities: AS400/Basic Microsoft Excel

**Essentials**:

- Will require a satisfactory criminal record check as the facility is an Biosecurity bonded facility
- Will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol screening before start date
