**What we’re looking for**:
We are currently on the lookout for a driven purchasing Officer with an upbeat attitude to join our expanding fun and dynamic team This is a unique opportunity for someone with superb technical skills and interpersonal skills, looking to progress their career working with a reputable industry leader. Due to substantial growth our team is growing and this is an additional head count.

**Your new role**:
As the Purchasing officer, you will be responsible for providing support to the Procurement Manager, Synergy Construction & Industrial Supply Group and its associated entities.
- Day to day purchases for warehouse stock and customer orders
- Contact with suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems
- Maintain accurate and detailed purchasing records and files
- Verify and confirm pricing at time of order if required
- Find / suggest alternative suppliers or products where requested item cannot be sourced
- Liaise with Suppliers re lead times, FIS, minimum order value and prompt response management to our orders
- Maintains the data accuracy and integrity
This is a full-time permanent role based in
**West End**
**QLD**. Work hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agentor similar role
- Good knowledge of suppliers (evaluating and liaising with suppliers)
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication and rapport building skills
- Understanding of supply chain procedures
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create and conduct cost analysis
- High attention to detail
- Ability to deliver excellent, quality customer service
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Full Australian work rights are required
